We’re pleased to invite you to apply for a grant through the second round of Adaptation Planning Grant Program funding by May 20, 2023. To start the application process, fill out a Pre-Application Interest Form. Adaptation Planning Grants help fund tribal, local, and regional planning, provide communities the resources to identify climate resilience priorities, and support climate resilient infrastructure projects across the state.
Round 2 follows a two-phase application process. In the first phase, a representative from each project team must fill out the Pre-Application Interest Form by May 6, 2024. Applicants seeking technical assistance are encouraged to submit the form by March 18, 2024. OPR will prioritize technical assistance for those in APGP Funding Target communities and those with capacity needs. Refer to Section 2.4 in the guidelines for funding target eligibility. OPR will accept and review requests for technical assistance on a rolling basis until May 6, 2024.
The second phase involves completing the Main Application Form. After submitting the Pre-Application Interest Form, applicants will receive an email with a link to access the Main Application Form. Applicants must submit all Main Application materials by 5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, May 20, 2024.
In Round 1, OPR staff awarded approximately $8 million to fourteen Adaptation Planning Grantees. These fourteen incredible projects are fostering cross-sector collaboration and equity in statewide efforts to adapt to climate change.
