The Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) is kicking off a comprehensive update of the state’s General Plan, Specific Plan, and Tribal Consultation Guidelines (collectively known as LCI’s Planning Guidelines). This update process will engage diverse partners—planners, local staff and officials, and other community partners involved in planning processes—to help shape guidance and resources that support local planning efforts and foster the growth of vibrant, resilient and inclusive cities and counties across California.
There will be many opportunities for everyone interested in sharing feedback on the LCI Planning Guidelines, starting with two project launch workshops in July. Register on our project website.
- Tuesday, July 15 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Thursday, July 17 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
The best way to hear about future engagement activities is to sign up for updates by completing the interest form on the project website. We are also looking for volunteers to join a series of advisory groups on specific topics related to long range planning.
However you’d like to participate, we look forward to hearing from you!
